Ms. Taiyyaba Qureshi joined Helen Tarokic Law PLLC in January 2023 as an Associate Attorney and brings with her a passion for serving those affected by human trafficking, domestic violence, and other immigration challenges. She has experience serving clients with T visas, U visas, VAWA and other forms of humanitarian relief for immigrants. Her language skills in Urdu/Hindi will help our clients who need to be able to talk about their cases confidentially in the language they feel most comfortable with.
Ms. Qureshi graduated from UNC School of Law in 2010. She has subsequently served in various capacities at the UNC Center for Civil Rights, the NC Legal Aid Fair Housing Project, the ACLU-NC Board of Directors, and fronteraTECH Law. Taiyyaba is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and the federal courts of the NC Eastern and Middle Districts and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Attorney Qureshi is the founder and president of the NC Muslim Bar Association and believes in the power of diversity-informed mentorship and networking to encourage attorneys from all backgrounds to better serve communities of need in North Carolina. Taiyyaba is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, ASSISTA, the Wake County Bar Association, and the Susie Sharp Inn Court.
Taiyyaba lives in Wake County, NC with her family and enjoys getting a few quiet moments to herself while waiting in the carpool line.
