Odilia Sanchez (“Odi”) is an English and Spanish-speaking Legal Assistant who joined the firm in July 2021.
She assists in various duties around the office. She creates files for new clients, updates records, and drafts forms for attorney review. Odilia keeps communication ongoing between our clients and attorneys/paralegals. She collaborates with team members to help ensure that a variety of immigration processes run smoothly. She contacts clients regarding their upcoming biometrics appointments, arranges for them to be fingerprinted for private background checks, and assists with obtaining criminal histories. Odilia joined our team with previous law office experience. She takes pride in her bilingual customer service skills. She is compassionate about helping our clients, many of whom have been through traumatic experiences and who are pursuing U, T, VAWA and other types of humanitarian cases.
Odilia was born in Oaxaca, Mexico, and moved to Wilmington, NC, in 1995. As a DACA recipient, she is passionate about her work and enjoys contributing to beneficial outcomes for the immigrant population in the community. She continues to study at Cape Fear Community College.
